There are many non residential, second home golf estates in South Africa and very few can match Elements Private Golf Reserve. A stunning, unique golf estate on 495 hectares of property located only one and a half hours drive north of Pretoria in the magnificent Waterberg region of the Limpopo Province. The setting for Elements Private Golf Reserve is one of the biggest factors that count in its favor.
The surrounding bushveld terrain varies between natural hillsides and open plains, with mountain views and perennial streams. The golf course meanders through a fertile valley of indigenous vegetation and artful landscaping.
The Clubhouse is located on a rise overlooking the golf course from which 11 holes can be seen and offers an unsurpassed view of the course and surrounding landscape. The reception, administrative offices, kids play ground, bar, restaurant and main kitchen areas is located on the upper level. The lower floor houses the locker rooms, half way house, golf shop, spa, conference room and covered patio. A small portion of the restaurant has been cordoned off to create a kids play area. This has become a popular addition to keep the kids occupied while mom and dad are enjoying drinks in the bar or a meal in the restaurant. It has play tables, ball games and even a full size pool table for the older kids and young adults.
In addition to golf and excellent practice facilities, the estate offers mountain bike trails, tennis courts, hiking, game viewing, bird watching, swimming, a spa, conferencing, and a comprehensive food and beverage offering in the clubhouse. Limpopo golf at its finest.
Onsite
The houses on the reserve are positioned to ensure perfect harmony with the bushveld surroundings and unsurpassed privacy. The luxury homes are mostly four bedrooms en suite while the Lodges are two bedrooms en suite. They all have comfortable lounges, dining rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Most of the homes have an outdoor swimming pool and braai area. Linen is provided and the units are fully serviced. All houses have spectacular views whether it is views of the valley or private bush views.
Mountain Biking
The estate offers a network of handmade trails within the 495 hectare nature reserve which vary in degrees of difficulty. The trails range from 5.2km Kids/Family, 7.3km Beginner, 12.4km Advanced and a 20.4km Technical.
Some are comfortable rides on the gravel roads but others, like the Advanced and Technical, include challenging single-tracks, loose surfaces, big drops and more demanding terrain.
The Kids/Family track has no technical aspects and is perfectly suited for a fun biking outing with bushveld and golf course views. For the Advanced and Technical tracks, you will need to be a bit more technically skilled to cope with the natural obstacles.
The trails provide wonderful scenery of the Waterberg bushveld as well as the resident Fauna and Flora. Mountain biking doesn’t come better than this.
Restaurant
The bar and restaurant is one large open function area with sliding windows opening up magnificent views of the golf course. The fully stocked bar is a comfortable venue with a large counter and several bar tables and chairs for guests to relax, enjoy a drink and admire views of the golf course.
There is a fire place located in the middle of the restaurant which is well used during the chilly winter months. All meals are prepared in the main kitchen adjoining the restaurant. The restaurant operates every day of the week serving breakfast, snacks and lunch every day. It is not operational for dinner other than by prearrangement for small or large groups. Large events can be accommodated comfortably.
By design the menu is uncomplicated and well priced providing specifically for the needs of golfers and other visitors. The lunch menu includes typical dishes such as steak, lamb chops, chicken, fish and burgers with a selection of chips and salads. The Elements breakfast is a full English style breakfast serving which should not be missed. The quality and presentation of the meals served is always outstanding.
Spa
The Spa at Elements is contracted out and operates primarily over weekends and on demand. It has two treatment beds in a private room. The menu is comprehensive and includes body massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. This is an ideal way to spend an hour or two while others in the family are out playing golf.
