Tamboti Retreat is a beautiful fully equipped 8 sleeper self-catering lodge situated in the Shona Langa Nature Reserve, 55km outside of Bela-Bela, Limpopo, only 1,5 hours from Pretoria. The lodge is truly a home away from home, tastefully furnished and fully equipped – TV, dishwasher, washing machine, aircon, Wifi and DSTV Premium – and even gin glasses for those lazy sundowners. The lodge also has three bathrooms, a spacious garden, a pool to cool down in, a bush braai and garden lapa area, as well as a patio with a built in braai. We also have 5 resident warthogs that love to come and greet our visitors.
Shona Langa is a beautiful farm offering 29 game and 140 bird species. There is much to do away from the lodge – game viewing, visit the wetlands, fish at the catch and release dams which have braai facilities, cycle or enjoy bushwalks.
Additional information:
At an additional cost, we can supply:
- House keeping
- Braai wood.
We include:
- All bedding and towels (bathroom and swimming)
- Hairdryers
- A supply of tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper, serviettes, roller towel, dishwashing products, bath wash, hand wash and toilet paper.
Note: There is a 7km well maintained dirt road off the main road.

We are lucky enough to be the current residents at this beautiful home. It is quite simply the best equipped house we have ever rented. The owners have thought of absolutely everything to ensure this experience really is "home away from home". This home is the ultimate chill out zone. It has been furnished beautifully and the owner has gone out of her way to make sure we are happy. I cannot recommend it more highly. We are loving our stay.

The lodge rate is R3600 per night when booked for 8 guests. Minimum 2 night stay. Subsequent nights are discounted. This rate is flexible depending on the duration of the stay and the number of guests. Check in from 10am, check out by 4pm. |

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
